John Valenzuela, or Coach Val to most everyone, is the senior pastor at 210 church. Prior to establishing the church, Coach Val served at Community Bible Church as a preaching and student pastor and also utilized his bilingual skills for Spanish services. Alongside pastoring and coaching, he is also on staff for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Currently, Coach Val is the former head basketball coach at San Antonio Christian High School and former head boys basketball coach at San Antonio Madison. He holds a record of over 500 wins in his basketball career. He led San Antonio Christian High School to the TAPPS Final Four in 2012 and Madison boys basketball to the Texas 5A Final Four twice. Madison was ranked #1 in the nation by CBS sports and #5 in the nation by ESPN. Coach Val’s career includes Smithson Valley, Alamo Heights, and San Marcos high schools. He and his lovely wife Rosanne have six children: Yvonne, Moses, Brian, Meagan, Timmy, and Sean.
